Renovation with insulation explained simply.
The uncomfortable season with low temperatures, rain and long periods of darkness has begun. Who doesn’t look forward to a cozy and, above all, warm home? Unfortunately, however, comfort is not particularly good, especially in older, poorly insulated houses. Cold external walls transmit an unpleasant cold radiation into the entire room and it is uncomfortable. Not only is it uncomfortable with this cold radiation, but the risk of mold forming on surfaces or in corners is also very high. And mold is not only unpleasant, it can also be harmful to your health!
What can I do about it?
It would be nice if retrofitting insulation was just as easy as wallpapering. You think that’s impossible.
With our Superwall insulation board, 10 mm thick and measuring 125 cm x 80 cm, insulating is incredibly easy! The panel has an insulating PU core that is laminated on both sides with a thin layer of aluminum and high-quality fleece cardboard. The integrated aluminum foil acts as a vapor barrier and prevents moisture from forming between the panel and the wall. The thermal conductivity is 0.22 W/mK.
How does renovation with insulation work?
When renovating with insulation, the
interior insulation board
is glued to the wall or ceiling and only the chamfered edges are filled. As the surfaces of the Superwall insulation are made of ready-to-paint non-woven cardboard, the surface can either be painted immediately with the desired color or any desired wallpaper can be used. The board is also suitable for bonding tiles.
Another special feature is the high insulating effect of the Superwall, which is only 10 – 20 mm thick. Heat loss is reduced by up to 40 percent with a room loss of just 10 mm. The integrated vapor barrier on both sides of the panel prevents the formation of mold!
